The end of my northern winter was eventful, I unfortunately couldn’t put down a run at Jnr World champs and ended up 10th, and the went to Rookie Fest Finals in Austria where I ended up with second place behind Katie orlmond.
I spent my holidays in the Australian season in thredbo, where there was plenty of snow but not much park. I had a super fun time smashing the creek. Last weekend I had my first comp, the Australain Jnr Series. I came first in Slopestyle and Halfpipe. I was super stoked to land a switch back five front five combo on the slope course andim hoping I can step up my run for mile high in two weeks.
Also, I was very stoked to get a check out in Transfer mag, with a photo from a bridge drop we set up in Italy.
I am off to Europe next week for Junior World Championships and Rookie Fest Finals before heading home.
I competed in one rev tour after injury and cancellation kept me out of the other two. I qualified second for finals but couldn’t put it down in finals and ended up 7th.
I have had a progressive season with my tricks and am happy to be able to improve my skills.
My new edit is online at https://vimeo.com/89668910 check it out and give it a share.
I am having a great time in Breck. I competed in my first world cup in copper. It was bad weather and after the big line was closed and lots of knuckling, I couldn’t stick a run and ended up in 33rd. I am progressing well with my tricks. I was stoked to land a double wild cat today. Here is a video. https://vimeo.com/83895552
Im also stoked to get a photo on transworld snow’s website from the grand prix at copper. I ended up 22nd. http://snowboarding.transworld.net/1000217789/photos/2014-grand-prix-breckenridge-slopestyle-qualifiers/?pid=55091#ngtop
I arrived in Breckenridge last night and had my first day on snow today. This kicks off my 4 month season based here. I am excited to learn some new tricks. I am looking forward to my comps this season including my first world cup at Copper Mt in Mid-December. I am also hoping to compete in world cups in Canada and Austria. I am now part of the Shadow Team for the 2014 Olympic Games. Check out my article in the Border Mail: http://www.bordermail.com.au/story/1917373/winter-olympics-within-reach-of-border-boarder/
I am super excited for this season and I will keep you updated.
Unfortunately, the Aussie season has come to an end. Although we didn’t get that much snow this year, the parks were good and I had a super fun time.
This is my results list from this season.
Australian Junior Series
Falls Creek Big Air
Australian Rookie Fest
Also here is a video that i filmed with SSA TV in the last school holidays. Check it out!
I can’t wait to go back to Breckenridge at the end of the year and continue my training.
I have had a pretty fun couple of weeks. I came back from the junior world heli challenge. I had a sick time. Check out the edit here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tb5Ku2A5F9U
After two days back at school, I went to perisher for the Australian Junior Series. I had a super fun time and came first in slope style and half pipe and second in boarder cross, coming first overall. I am stoked to have received a dragon sponsorship as a ‘Most Promising Award’. I am really looking forward to being able to represent the brand. Here are a couple of photos from the junior series.
I have been having an awesome season so far.
In the school holidays I spent two weeks in Thredbo with TSC. Although there wasn’t much snow it was really fun and I have improved my rail riding a lot. I am now in NZ for a week for the Junior World Heli Challenge. It has been sick and I am learning a heap about avalanche and backcountry safety. Here are a couple of photos from my trip so far. More to come 🙂
